As a former teacher and director of a camp for students with disabilities, Peter believes all children deserve a world-class education.

Peter is an active supporter of teachers and students, and he will continue to support teachers and pay raises for educators, invest in public education, and strengthen the teacher pipeline to combat the workforce shortage. In the legislature, he won an award for this support of special education from the Council for Exceptional Children. 

In Congress, Peter will expand access to apprenticeship and training programs and work to make higher education more accessible and affordable for all students.
